We are seeking a Production Lead in our Kimberton, PA Plant.</p> <p>Shift: 2nd 1:00pm-9:30pm, OT as required</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Production Lead reports directly to the Plant Manager and is responsible for all aspects of their shift's performance. Maintains a safe and clean work environment by promoting 5S principles and adhering to safety guidelines. Maintaining compliance with established safety policies and procedures. Proven manufacturing leader with strong technical aptitude and a continuous improvement mindset. Must be able to lead with minimal oversight and be open to working overtime and weekends, as needed.</p> <p>Establish work assignments to meet production schedules, using knowledge of team member skills and machine capabilities. Responsible for team member training and development, and providing all employees with the tools, information, and materials/parts necessary to perform assigned tasks. The Production Lead is accountable for ensuring the team meets its production and quality goals with on-time shipments, and within budget. Establishes daily priorities, monitors progress, and resolves issues as they arise. Must be able to conduct root cause analysis and quickly resolve problems by implementing appropriate corrective actions and preventing reoccurrence.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Run Deliveries and Print Pick Sheets </li><li>Post all Loads on the Active Shipping Board </li><li>Prepare Daily Shipment Paperwork (i.e. BOL, Packing Slips, Pro #'s…) </li><li>Post Goods Issued (PGI) </li><li>Prepare and Ship Small Parcels (i.e. UPS) </li><li>Enter Shipping Rates into DIS </li><li>Update the Delivery Monitor </li><li>Perform Production Lead and Production Primary Duties as Needed </li><li>Perform Shipping/General Supervisor Primary Duties, Pertaining to Shipping, as required </li><li>Inventory all Non-Stock Items in Shipping </li></ul> <p>Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Safety </li><li>Raw Materials Used in Production </li><li>Production Process Flow </li><li>Testing Procedures </li><li>Quality Control Techniques </li><li>Hazardous Chemical Training </li><li>Finished Goods </li><li>Operation of production equipment </li><li>Interpersonal Skills </li><li>Time Management </li><li>Accuracy and Consistency in Reporting </li><li>Math Skills </li><li>Organization and record keeping </li><li>Written and oral English communications </li><li>Customer Focused Performance Orientation </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum High School diploma or GED </li><li>At least two years in production leadership experience </li><li>A progressive career path in the area of production management </li><li>Strong commitment to statistical accuracy in a deadline-driven environment </li><li>Ability to work effectively across professional disciplines to set schedules and resolve problems (facilitation skills helpful) </li><li>Effective oral communication skills </li><li>Those who supervisor must be able to represent the company and its policies and processes in a fair and impartial manner and in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations </li><li>Fluency in PC based computer systems, Microsoft Office software, and ERP systems a plus </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <p>This job operates in an industrial manufacturing environment without air-conditioning. This role requires regular standing and walking for extended periods of time.
