<p>Job Title: Mechanical Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves collaboration with project managers to execute a variety of projects, including COBOT welding automation and robotics. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring complete and accurate project engineering design, applying their engineering expertise to equipment design, problem-solving, and quality improvement. This position requires proficiency in creating 3D models and fabrication drawings using SolidWorks, generating fabrication BOMs using ERP systems, and improving existing manufactured products and techniques.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with project managers in the execution of projects, particularly in COBOT welding automation and robotics. </li><li>Ensure complete and accurate project engineering design. </li><li>Apply engineering expertise to equipment design, problem-solving, and quality improvement, including project drawings and bill of materials. </li><li>Utilize SolidWorks to create 3D models and fabrication drawings. </li><li>Generate fabrication BOMs using ERP systems. </li><li>Improve existing manufactured products and manufacturing techniques. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. </li><li>Proficiency in SolidWorks for parts, sheet-metal, assemblies, and drawings. </li><li>Experience with DraftSight, AutoCAD, or similar tools for 2D drawings and schematics. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. </li><li>Ability to work efficiently with multiple engineering disciplines including automation, robotics, and welding. </li><li>Excellent communication and documentation skills. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Programming knowledge of PLCs and manufacturing. </li><li>Experience in mechanical design, AutoCAD, welding, and welding engineering. </li><li>Familiarity with CNC machines, CNC programming, MIG welding, sheet metal, PLC programming, PLC troubleshooting, robotics, and robotics automation. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This is an onsite position located in Danbury, CT.</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Permanent position based out of Danbury, CT.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.</p> <p>401(k), 401(k) matching, Health insurance, Health savings account, Vision insurance, Dental insurance, Life insurance, PTO, bonus potential</p> <p>Workplace Type</p> <p>This is a fully onsite position in Danbury,CT.</p> <p>Application Deadline</p> <p>This position is anticipated to close on Dec 17, 2025.</p> <p>About Actalent</p> <p>Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
