Because we offer:Health, Dental, and VisionPaid Time OffPaid HolidaysWellness ProgramsAnd More!</p> <p>Purpose of Your Job Position</p> <p>The primary purpose of your job position to prepare schedules and maintain appropriate staffing levels in the nursing department on a twenty-four hour basis according to administrative requirements., and in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, Solaris HealthCare's established policies and procedures.</p> <p>Job Functions</p> <ul> <li> <p>General Responsibilities</p> </li><li> <p>Residents Rights</p> </li><li> <p>Staffing and Scheduling Coordinator Responsibilities</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares monthly schedules and daily sign-in sheets for nurses and nursing assistants.</p> </li><li> <p>Takes call-ins while on duty and finds replacement for staff shortages.</p> </li><li> <p>Updates the master schedule with changes on a daily basis.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains a record of absenteeism and point accumulation and reports to the Director of Nursing.</p> </li><li> <p>Relays to HR all Leaves of Absence, special requests, vacation and holiday requests, and requests for schedule changes.</p> </li><li> <p>Obtains appropriate approval for time-off requests, shift trades, and vacation requests.</p> </li><li> <p>Attends weekly staffing meetings and reports to the Administrator, Director of Nursing and the Human Resources Manager, the staffing summaries, open positions, medicare hours, and hours PPD.</p> </li><li> <p>Reviews the daily punch details, compares it to the master schedule, makes any necessary changes, reviews the float reports, and submits the completed detail to the Director of Nursing for payroll.</p> </li><li> <p>Revises forms as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Places orders to IHM in a timely fashion.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains a list of employee telephone numbers.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares weekly, monthly, and quarterly staffing summary reports.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains clerical supplies, equipment, manuals, meeting minutes for the department of nursing.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains logs of hours worked in the distinct unit and available positions in the department.</p> </li><li> <p>Staff Development</p> </li><li> <p>Safety and Sanitation</p> </li><li> <p>Administrative Responsibilities</p> </li><li> <p>Special Activities/Attributes</p> </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent required; Nursing Assistant Certification in the state of Florida required.</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>Clerical skills, typing skills, and strong math skills, required. Staffing and scheduling experience and computer skills, preferred.</p>
