<p>The Guilderland YMCA in Guilderland, NY is seeking dynamic individuals to fill the roles of Lifeguard and/or Swim Instructor. These two (2) aquatic positions support the work of the Y, a leading charity committed to strengthening our community. The Lifeguard role maintains safe swimming conditions in the pool, deck, and surrounding areas. The Swim Instructor provides direct leadership, instruction and motivation for students in swimming classes.</p> <p>CURRENT PART TIME POOL VACANCIES</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lifeguards (5)</p> </li><li> <p>Morning and Midday shifts</p> </li><li> <p>Swim Instructors (5)</p> </li><li> <p>Saturday & Sundays - Morning & Afternoon shifts</p> </li></ul> <p>MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL AQUATIC POSITIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>AGE RESTRICTION: Minimum age of 16 years old. NYS Working Papers required for applicants under 18 yrs old.</p> </li><li> <p>TESTING: Be able to pass a CDYMCA swim test, administered by the Aquatics Director or designated individual.</p> </li><li> <p>CERTIFICATIONS: Valid CPR, AED, and First Aid</p> </li><li> <p>SKILLS: Excellent organizational, communication and problem solving skills.
