<p>Position Type:</p> <p>X- Athletics/Activities</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>10/7/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>Athletic Department</p> <p>&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Briarcliff High School Athletics is seeking reliable, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented individuals to support our athletic events by filling the following key game-day roles:</p> <ol> <li>Timekeeper </li></ol> <ul> <li>Operate game clock and ensure accurate timekeeping throughout athletic events. </li><li>Coordinate with referees and other officials to maintain game flow. </li></ul> <ol start="2"> <li>Scorekeeper </li></ol> <ul> <li>Maintain the official scorebook or scoreboard for games. </li><li>Accurately record game statistics and communicate with coaching staff and referees. </li></ul> <ol start="3"> <li>Announcer </li></ol> <ul> <li>Provide live commentary and announcements during games. </li><li>Introduce teams, announce scores, and read scripted messages. </li></ul> <ol start="4"> <li>Event Chaperone <p></p> <ul> <li>Supervise students and spectators during home games and events. </li><li>Ensure a safe, respectful, and sportsmanlike environment in the stands and surrounding areas. </li><li>Serve as a liaison between event staff, school administrators, and security if needed. </li><li>Remain visible and approachable throughout the event. < </li></ul> </li></ol> <p>Ideal Candidates Will Have:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of the sport(s) you are applying to support. </li><li>Ability to focus and stay organized in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Previous experience (preferred but not required training will be provided). </li></ul> <p>Commitment</p> <ul> <li>After-school hours and occasional weekend availability required. </li><li>Seasonal commitment based on sports schedules. </li></ul> <p>REPORTS TO: The athletic director, who provides overall objectives and final evaluation in</p> <p>conjunction with the high school principals</p> <p>Salary: $78 per Varsity event, $47 per JV/Modified event.
