Proficiently teach mechanical drafting using industry-standard software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CREO, covering diverse topics such as additive manufacturing, prototyping, reverse engineering, and mechanical design theory drafting skills development will empower students for success, offering hands-on experiences in constructing and revising engineering drawings. Stay at the forefront of industry trends and integrate cutting-edge practices into the curriculum, ensuring students are well-prepared for the workforce. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (Other duties may be assigned):</p> <p>100% Instruction</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for placing learning first and providing educational experiences for learners in various delivery formats, schedules, and in various places in accordance with the mission of the college inclusive of: facilitating learning of diverse students, assessing student performance, as well as instruction and outcomes, developing and maintaining current/relevant course materials, and communicating with the community, other schools, the college, the division, and team members. </li><li>Developing curriculum, including learning activities and assessments. </li><li>Work with curriculum coach to ensure state and Lakeshore design requirements are met. </li><li>Teaching/training in business and industry may be assigned. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and two years (4,000 hours) of recent relevant occupational experience. </li><li>Teaching experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURE, REGISTRATION:</p> <ul> <li>None </li></ul> <p>Knowledge:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of Lakeshore's mission, vision, and strategic direction. </li><li>Knowledge of Six Sigma and lean manufacturing. </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.). </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills. </li><li>Effective interpersonal skills and customer service skills. </li><li>Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
