<p>North Reading Public Schools has an anticipated opening for two (2) part-time Early Literacy Tutors. North Reading Public Schools is actively looking to build a diverse workforce to ensure all students feel welcome, safe, and valued for who they are and supported to reach their potential.</p> <p>In this role you will tutor rising first and second grade students for 2-3 hours per day, three (3) days per week, Tuesday through Thursday, from August 5, 2025 through August 21, 2025. This position is an in-person, temporary, summer position.</p> <p>Essential duties</p> <ul> <li>Provide early literacy tutoring services to identified students </li><li>Use data to drive instruction </li><li>Write goal/progress reports </li><li>Progress monitor </li><li>Communicate with parents/guardians/families as needed </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors Degree </li><li>Valid Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education license in Elementary, grades 1-6 and/or Early Childhood, grades PreK-2 </li><li>Sheltered English Immersion Endorsement </li><li>Proficiency with Fundations & Heggerty programs </li><li>Cultural sensitivity and interest in working with a diverse student population </li><li>Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing </li><li>Citizenship, residency, or work visa required </li></ul> <p>The North Reading Public Schools (NRPS) provides a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where students develop both their social-emotional and academic skills and abilities through an exploration of a wide range of content areas, the arts, athletics, and extra-curricular opportunities.
