Key responsibilities include monitoring compliance with company purchasing and contract guidelines, conducting regular audits, investigating, and resolving compliance issues, and recommending process improvements. The specialist works independently and cross functionally with various teams, applying strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support purchasing operations and compliance initiatives. This role develops and delivers training to purchasing staff and other stakeholders, and prepares clear, actionable compliance reports for leadership and key stakeholders.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <p>Ensures that an organization's procurement processes adhere to internal policies, legal regulations, and industry standards. Key responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Auditing and Reporting: Conducting audits of purchase orders, contracts, and vendor agreements; preparing reports on compliance issues or risks. </li><li>Vendor Management: Evaluating suppliers for compliance with terms, ethical practices, and quality standards; addressing non-compliance issues. </li><li>Training and Guidance: Educating staff on procurement policies and best practices to ensure consistent adherence. </li><li>Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of purchases, contracts, and compliance activities for audits or reviews. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned </li><li>Complies with all policies and standards </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Required Education: Bachelor's Degree, bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>1 - 3 Years professional experience in purchasing or compliance </li><li>Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential, along with familiarity with procurement software. </li><li>The role requires attention to detail, ethical judgment, and the ability to collaborate across departments to maintain compliant and efficient purchasing operations. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Preferred qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>4-6 Years professional experience in purchasing or compliance, with foodservice or related industry experience. </li><li>Proficiency in MS Excel and advanced features. Including: JDA system, Power BI and AS400. </li></ul>
