Demonstrates understanding of the effects of stressful life events including abuse and/or trauma. Involves family members in all aspects of treatment planning. Demonstrates ability to teach both simple and complex skills. Demonstrates knowledge of a range of strategies applicable to population. Ability to identify family support resources and provide advocacy for their use. Demonstrates understanding of the principles of collaborative community-based care. Communicates understanding of unique issues families face with children in placement.
