This is an on-site position, we are not open to remote candidates at this time.</p> <p>Position Summary: The strategic Sr. Commodity Manager will lead sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management for critical commodities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of global supply chain dynamics, cost drivers, and supplier relationship management. This role plays a key part in ensuring business continuity of supply, driving cost reductions, and manufacturing operations.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and execute comprehensive commodity strategies for key categories (photolithography tools, spare parts, capital equipment, and consumables). </li><li>Source and manage new global suppliers through market research and performance reviews to strengthen the supply base, improve cost, quality, and delivery, and reduce risk. </li><li>Monitor market trends, cost drivers, risks, and supply constraints for assigned commodities. </li><li>Lead negotiations and manage long-term contracts, pricing, payment terms, and service-level agreements with global OEMs and distributors, overseeing large scale equipment purchases to secure best-value outcomes. </li><li>Manage to and track supplier KPIs (on-time delivery, defect rates, lead-time adherence) and implement corrective actions. </li><li>Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality and finance teams to align sourcing strategies with product and business requirements. </li><li>Drive cost reduction initiatives through value engineering, should-cost analysis, and supplier development. </li><li>Manage supplier performance metrics (QCD - Quality, Cost, Delivery), lead suppler business reviews, and issue resolution. </li><li>Support supply chain continuity, including capacity planning, dual sourcing, and risk mitigation. </li><li>Maintain accurate procurement records, forecasts, and ERP/MRP system data. </li><li>Additional responsibilities as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications and Experience:</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels. </li><li>Advanced analytical and negotiation skills. </li><li>Proven track record of lean procurement, value-engineering, cost-down methodologies and improving supplier performance. </li><li>Fluency in a second language (Japanese, Mandarin and/or Korean), a plus. </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, or supply chain roles. </li><li>Experience in the semiconductor, semiconductor equipment, electronics or high-technology manufacturing sectors preferred. </li><li>Experience in working in fast-paced, cross-functional manufacturing or high-tech manufacturing industry. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, or equivalent). </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. </li><li>Certification in supply chain or procurement (e.g. CPSM, CSCP, PMP). </li></ul> <p>Travel:</p> <ul> <li>Less than 15% of Travel - to suppliers (domestic and international). </li><li>May require off-hours communication with global suppliers across time zones. </li></ul> <p>Why Photronics:</p> <ul> <li>55 years as a market leader and innovator in the photomask space. </li><li>Rewards culture with commensurate recognition of performance and success. </li><li>Competitive salary and annual bonus program. </li><li>Equity compensation eligibility. </li><li>Full suite of health and welfare benefits. </li><li>401k with company match. </li></ul> <p>Photronics is an equal Opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability status, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, pregnancy, protected veteran status, or any other classifications protected by law.
