<p>Hourly:</p> <p>$18.50 - $18.50</p> <p>Department:</p> <p>Executive, Health & Welfare</p> <p>Division:</p> <p>Mayor's Office of Children, Youth & Family</p> <p>FLSA:</p> <p>Non-Exempt</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Summer Seasonal Position</p> <p>Applicant must be a current college student.</p> <p>This role will learn about the operations of the Budget, Finance, and Revenue Collections department.</p> <p>Examples of Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Protect and conserve a South Carolina landmark, the historic Angel Oak, from vandalism, by responsive and vigilant monitoring of the tree. </li><li>Frequently Sanitize doors, dust, clean gift shop </li><li>Assist with cashier duties, accepting cash, credit cards, making change and issuing receipts for goods </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Available to work 20 hours per week for 8 weeks (June - July 2025) </li><li>Current college student pursuing bachelor's or master's degree </li><li>Able to use computers, point of sale systems, and/ or adding machines. </li><li>Able to engage with the public and use math concepts in an applied setting. </li></ul> <p>The Summer Youth Employment Program offers selected youth paid workshops on financial empowerment to help participants gain skills in banking, budgeting, saving, and credit.
