<p>Job Description</p> <p>Job Title: Calibration Technician (1st Shift)</p> <p>Location: East Granby, CT (Bradley Park)</p> <p>Pay Rate: $25 - $30/hour</p> <p>Job Type: Direct Hire</p> <p>Start Date: ASAP</p> <p>Schedule: Onsite, 1st Shift ; Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm</p> <p>Keywords: #Aerospace #Calibration #Technician #CTjobs</p> <p>U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency Required</p> <p>Job Details/Description</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in an aerospace or high precision manufacturing company with experience in inspection </li><li>Expert proficiency in the use of measuring instruments such as various micrometers, dial calipers, indicators, etc. </li><li>Mechanical inclination </li><li>Good computer skills including Microsoft Office programs </li><li>Good mathematical skills </li><li>Strong organizational skills </li><li>Ability to read and interpret gage blueprints and technical documents </li></ul> <p>Your Challenge:</p> <ul> <li>Inspect, calibrate, and control the flow of all precision hand tools/gages </li><li>Manage and schedule external calibration companies </li><li>Schedule and distribute reports on gages coming due and gages delinquent on a weekly basis </li><li>Maintain and update the Electronic Data Calibration Program </li><li>Inventory and order replacement parts for standard gaging such as Indicator Points, Threat Gage members, Plug Gages, and Dial bore parts, etc. </li><li>Update and create new work instructions on how to calibrate gages </li><li>Perform Gage Frequency Analysis </li><li>Perform cycle count of all gages in-house and at Vendors, Customers, and other Barnes locations </li><li>Train employees such as Apprentices, Interns, etc., on how to use precision tools/gages </li></ul> <p>Education Requirements:</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent required.</p> <p>Belcan is a leading provider of qualified personnel to many of the world's most respected enterprises.
