Apply today!</p> <p>Job Summary and Qualifications</p> <p>The Manager of Emergency Services ensures high quality, patient-centered care through oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department. The Manager monitors and evaluates the provision of nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures and holds staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.</p> <p>What you will do in this role:</p> <ul> <li>Help create a superior clinical identity by operationalizing evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes, while ensuring adherence to standards of care. </li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served. </li><li>Manage all staffing needs and personnel management including interviewing, hiring and training new staff members. </li><li>Oversee care of patients on unit, providing consistent support and expertise to staff. </li><li>Perform duties in accordance with unit specific standards of care and evidenced by completion of a competency skills check list. </li><li>Maintain overall workflow of unit by ensuring proper staff levels. </li><li>Manage and coordinates all unit activities including safety procedures, unit goals and department operations. </li><li>Handle patient, visitor, or physician complaints promptly and in a professional manner. </li><li>Provide leadership, coaching and counseling to department employees. </li><li>Collaborate with other disciplines and departments to improve patient care delivery. </li></ul> <p>What qualifications you will need:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred. </li><li>Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state required. </li><li>Minimum 1 year of related leadership experience in a hospital setting required. </li><li>Prior ER experience required. </li><li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required. </li><li>Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) must be obtained within 6 months of hire. </li><li>Trauma Nursing Core Curse (TNCC) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) be obtained within 1 year of hire. </li></ul> <p>TriStar Skyline Medical Center is a 350+ bed facility. We are Tennessees first comprehensive stroke center and a national leader in neuroscience. In addition, we are equipped with 3 helipads, new ICU and Medical/Surgical floors, and burn care services. We offer a CARF accredited Inpatient Rehabilitation program and are a state-designated Level I Trauma Center.
