Buffett, acquired Precision Castparts Corp.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>The Commercial Analyst will support TIMET by capturing and analyzing market and competitive information, provide data for budgeting and forecasting , as well as fulfilling analytics activities for the commercial and finance teams.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>Generates and maintains interactive, predictive models used for profitability estimates for long term agreements.</p> <p>Develop sensitivities for changes in raw materials, inflation, etc.</p> <p>Assists with budget and demand planning process.</p> <p>Conduct ad-hoc analysis on market dynamics, such as resource allocation, customer profiles, market segment and competitive analysis.</p> <p>Gathers, analyzes and compares competitor data, import and export information and pricing to that of TIMET.</p> <p>Assists manager in identifying market trends and makes recommendations of activities that leverage these trends into marketing strategy.</p> <p>Maintains database to compile, examine and analyze market and competitive data.</p> <p>Additional Responsibilities</p> <p>Supporting the competitive analysis in multiple markets</p> <p>Analysis of demand and supply drivers</p> <p>Analysis of competitive information</p> <p>Analysis of international product flows and trends in support of commercial efforts in the PCC Metals Group including the Energy segment.</p> <p>Analysis of price trends in the market</p> <p>Maintain global price lists and price tools</p> <p>Perform price audits to ensure policy compliance</p> <p>Other related duties as assigned.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Excellent organization skills and attention to detail </li><li>Good oral and written communications skills </li><li>Strong deductive reasoning skills </li><li>Basic understanding of cost accounting, price/cost/margin/operating income/etc and their relationship to each other </li><li>Advanced Excel skills, VBA experience a plus </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree, finance, mathematics, or business concentration preferred</p> <p>Special Skills</p> <p>Understanding of heavy manufacturing business</p> <p>Understanding of the metals business</p> <p>Additional Notes</p> <p>Some Domestic and International travel may be required)</p> <p>Physical Dimensions</p> <p>Physical Demands - The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
