<p>Part Time (40 Hours Biweekly)</p> <p>Shift: Day 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.</p> <p>Every third weekend and holiday rotation required</p> <p>General Summary</p> <p>Performs activities related to transportation of patients. Follows established safety guidelines and uses appropriate devices when transporting patients. Provides messenger services on request</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Transports patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support department areas as directed. </li><li>Assists clinical personnel in transferring patients to or from beds, chairs, wheelchairs or stretchers using appropriate body mechanics to perform patient lifts. </li><li>Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. </li></ul> <p>Common Expectations:</p> <ul> <li>Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards. </li><li>Participates in educational programs and inservice meetings. </li><li>Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation. </li><li>Performs dispatching duties such as receiving transport requests, dispatching available transporters based on established priorities, coordinating transports to minimize delays and maintaining appropriate documentation. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Education:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED Required </li></ul> <p>Work Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Less than 1-year Relevant experience.
