<p>DESCRIPTION OF POSITION The Medical Assistant intern is responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients under the direction of the physician and/or licensed nurse. They must be able to handle emergency situations and#to provide optimal service to the patient, physicians, and the clinic sites. They are responsible to perform a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services for patients, as directed by the physician and according to established procedures. # QUALIFICATIONS # Professional/Educational Certified Medical Assistant required Certified by the American Heart Association in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required. # Personal Computer knowledge and clerical / business office functions.
