<p>Summer Teacher JobID: 507</p> <p>Position Type:</p> <p>Elementary - K-5</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>4/7/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>District</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Summer School for grades K-12.</p> <p>Schedule</p> <p>July 7-Aug 1, Monday through Friday</p> <p>Hours: 7:45am - 12:45pm K-8</p> <p>Hours: 7:45am - 12:45pm 9th - 12th</p> <p>Hours: 7:45am - 2:30pm 9th - 12th</p> <p>Salary & Benefits</p> <p>$40 per hour; Summer Only</p> <p>Not benefits eligible</p> <p>Education & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree required; </li><li>Required NJ state teacher certification (New Jersey Standard Certificate, Certificate of Eligibility (CE) or Certificate of Eligibility with Advanced Standing (CEAS). </li><li>Documented experience using data-driven instruction to achieve significant student gains </li><li>Must have submitted letter of intent/contract for the upcoming school year to be eligible </li></ul> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>The following job duties and responsibilities are essential functions of the position, in addition to any duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time:</p> <ul> <li>Implement and engage students in the instructional program </li><li>Supervise students as assigned </li><li>Maintain up-to-date records and provide necessary documentation of student work </li><li>Instruct students in a classroom setting and foster classroom atmosphere conducive to learning </li><li>Develop and implement appropriate and effective lesson plans and curriculum that align to New Jersey Learning Standards to achieve instructional objectives and employ a variety of instructional strategies to augment student achievement </li><li>Monitor and record student attendance </li><li>Evaluate students and grade their work, pre-assessment, interim, and post-assessment </li><li>Maintain professional relationships with parents, students, co-workers and other stakeholders </li><li>Maintain regular contact with parents through parent-teacher conferences, telephone, or written/electronic communications </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Effective communicators that are able to meet all the contracted expectations for the delivery of information to the administration, parents and students </li><li>Act as informed decision-makers in the day to day delivery of instruction and classroom management </li><li>Be able to effectively use technology to deliver instruction, communicate with stakeholders and be able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all staff, students and community groups </li><li>Knowledge of prescribed curriculum </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively using written and oral communication skills and use effective, positive interpersonal skills </li><li>Basic knowledge of technology </li><li>Planning and organizational skills </li><li>Ability to supervise and manage students </li><li>Skill in analyzing, diagnosing and evaluating student progress and programs </li><li>Knowledge of varied learning styles </li></ul>
