<p>Job Description:</p> <p>GLASTONBURY PUBLIC SCHOOLS</p> <p>Glastonbury, Connecticut</p> <p>NOTICE OF VACANCY</p> <p>POSITION:</p> <p>Early Childhood Center Teacher, Part-Time</p> <p>Early Childhood Center at Eastbury Programs</p> <p>10-Month position, mid-August to mid-June</p> <p>20 hours per week</p> <p>We are searching for nurturing staff members to join our caregiving team. Teachers in our program are required to prepare and deliver classroom activities, communicate with staff and parents, serve as role models for children, maintain confidentiality, and ensure that the learning environment remains safe at all times. Successful teachers at the Early Learning Center should be creative, energetic, and able to encourage self-expression. Top candidates will possess a thorough understanding of early childhood development and have experience working with young children.</p> <p>WAGES:</p> <p>$21.31 per hour</p> <p>DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li></li><li>Planning and delivering lessons designed to facilitate students' social, emotional, and cognitive development. </li><li>Encouraging self-expression through understanding, flexibility, and behavioral guidance and support. </li><li>Tending to students' basic needs by feeding, dressing, and diapering. </li><li>Mediating conflict between students, modeling appropriate social interactions. </li><li>Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning at all times. </li><li>Working in partnership with families to ensure that they feel a part of our school community. </li><li>Observation and assessments of children in assigned group. </li><li>Attending staff meetings and completing trainings as required. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li></li><li>High school diploma or equivalent.
