GA-EMS offers modular and scalable satellite platforms backed with a history of operational flight experience to support defense, civil, commercial, and academic mission requirements.</p> <p>We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Satellite Flight Software Developer to join our team located in Englewood, CO.</p> <p>This position may be supported remotely at our facilities in:</p> <ul> <li>Englewood, CO (preferred) </li><li>San Diego, CA </li><li>Herndon, VA </li><li>Boulder, CO </li><li>Huntsville, AL </li></ul> <p>The primary role for the candidate involves C/C++ and Python software application development for embedded real-time software systems. The development ranges from low-level Board Support Package (BSP) development for our avionics solutions to Flight Software Applications executing as real-time software within our satellites.</p> <p>We also have secondary roles and opportunities for C/C++ and Python ground software application development, where the ground software applications are deployed as Amazon cloud services. These applications provide capabilities for the command and control of our satellites and satellite operations.</p> <p>This position will involve leadership of a small development team.</p> <p>DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Technical leadership of small development teams, which involves leading and mentoring junior engineers on software development and delivery of software products. </li><li>Performing Cost Account Management (CAM) and subcontractor management. </li><li>Perform the technical objectives within the software development life cycle (Requirements, Design, Implementation, Test) phases. </li><li>Ensure that General Atomics processes are properly followed. </li><li>Work with the team on software solutions to support the planned product delivery. </li></ul> <p>We recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.</p>
