The Clinical Assistant Nurse Manager (CANM) isresponsible for leading the shift operations within the clinical setting to ensure delivery of high-quality care, exceptional customer experience, and optimal patient flow. In conjunction with the Department Nursing Operations Manager and the Assistant Nursing Operations Manager (ANOM); the CANM provides guidance, fosters collaboration, and is responsible for the unit's clinical operations including patient care assignments, customer experience, productivity, and quality outcomes in settings where an acute care patient receives active treatment for an injury, episode of illness, a medical condition, or post intervention with assessment. Twenty-four (24) beds are located on Tower 5 and are all private rooms. There is one (1) semi-private, negative airflow room available on Tower 6 (6008 and 6009) and one (1) negative airflow room available on Tower 5 (5010). Comprehensive nursing care is provided for acutely ill patients under the age of 18 years requiring medical/surgical and post trauma intervention.
