<p>Overview</p> <p>Join The Wilds as a Seasonal Food Service Attendant, where you'll provide excellent guest service while assisting with food preparation and sales. If you thrive in a fast-paced food service environment and enjoy interacting with guests, this role is for you!</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Guest Service & Sales</p> <ul> <li>Greet and provide all guests with prompt, friendly service. </li><li>Execute accurate sales transactions for record-keeping purposes. </li><li>Encourage guests to round up their sale to support conservation efforts. </li></ul> <p>Food & Beverage Operations</p> <ul> <li>Assist with food preparation for daily guests, groups, and overnight visitors. </li><li>Learn and follow ServSafe guidelines to ensure a safe and sanitary food environment. </li><li>Maintain work areas, including restocking, inventory management, and cleaning. </li><li>Assist in maintaining the dining room and deck spaces. </li><li>Adhere to Responsible Alcohol Policy guidelines. </li><li>Provide support to other Visitor Operations and Park Operations roles as needed. </li></ul> <p>Wilds Knowledge & Team Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Learn about The Wilds and its species to accurately answer guest questions. </li><li>Maintain open communication with the Area Lead, Kitchen Coordinator, and Food & Beverage Manager. </li><li>Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless operations. </li><li>Strive to further the mission of The Wilds and support The Zoo, Zoombezi Bay, and Safari Golf Club. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Must be at least 16 years old. </li><li>Customer service and sales experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>Skills & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Positive, professional attitude with strong interpersonal skills. </li><li>Good math, communication, and keyboarding skills. </li><li>Ability to adapt easily to a fast-paced work environment. </li><li>Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Ability to operate a two-way radio. </li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. </li><li>Positive attitude with a commitment to excellent service and upholding guest service standards. </li><li>Ability to plan and organize work efficiently. </li></ul> <p>Compliance & Safety</p> <ul> <li>Possession of a valid state-issued driver's license with a good driving record. </li><li>Successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check. </li><li>Subject to Drug-Free Workplace Policy, Criminal Background Check, and BMV Check. </li><li>This position is not eligible for overtime pay. </li></ul>
