<p>Logistics Technician</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>Perform the daily activities for a high quality, low cost, on time shipping team. Be a team member that fully shares in the continuous improvement of the</p> <p>logistics team. Maintain a constant flow of communication and information to the logistics and RST teams regarding the warehouse and customer needs.</p> <p>Responsible for safety, development, trainings, shipping, customer satisfaction and finished goods inventory accuracy.</p> <p>THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:</p> <ul> <li>Participate in the Safety Index to help site meet its safety goals </li><li>Report Unsafe Conditions, Near Misses, and complete BOS observations and provide meaningful feedback </li><li>General understanding of distribution functions (warehouse layout, packing list, material flow, FIFO, inspect trailers, and shipping) </li><li>Ensure good housekeeping and organization in logistics </li><li>Comply with all safe work practices </li><li>Operate lift truck (clamp and fork) </li><li>Identify opportunities to promote continuous warehouse improvements </li><li>Work with Distribution/Distributor Relations and other teams to accomplish a specific task </li><li>Pick and ship UPS, truck loads, and LTL shipments </li><li>Perform data entry </li><li>Communicate with appropriate team members </li><li>Analyze and implement an action plan to resolve customer complaints </li><li>Actively confront and resolve behaviors and conditions in a timely manner </li></ul> <p>THE DESCRIPTION ABOVE REPRESENTS THE MOST SIGNIFICANT ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE JOB BUT DOES NOT EXCLUDE OTHERS</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>EDUCATION:</p> <ul> <li>High School or GED required </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>Good working knowledge of warehouse </li><li>Customer focus </li><li>Strong safety conscience </li><li>Ability to maintain high housekeeping standards </li><li>Positive "can do" attitude </li><li>Ability to operate a lift truck and spotter safely </li><li>Maintain high reliability in attendance </li><li>Good written and communication skills </li><li>Proven ability to improve the areas they work in </li><li>Ability to multi-task </li><li>Flexible to work 7-day work schedule and rotate shifts as business needs require </li><li>Ability to ship LTL and UPS shipments with accuracy </li><li>Date entry and computer skills </li><li>Warehouse management system knowledge a plus </li><li>Ability to work with minimal supervision </li><li>Ability to quickly respond to change (flexibility) </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <p>Standing</p> <p>Walking</p> <p>Sitting</p> <p>Lifting: up to 40 lbs.</p> <p>Carrying: Up to 35 lbs.</p> <p>Pushing/Pulling: >50lbs.</p> <p>Forward Bending</p> <p>Trunk Rotation</p> <p>Reaching</p> <p>Manipulating/Handling/Gripping >50 lbs.</p> <p>Climbing: 7 -20 inches.</p> <p>ENVIRONMENT: Warehouse temperature is not climate controlled.</p> <p>Essity retains the discretion to add to or change the duties of the position at any time.</p> <p>.</p> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>The Company is committed to equal employment opportunity and providing reasonable accommodations to qualified candidates and employees pursuant to applicable law.
