<p>WKRN NEWS 2 (ABC) in Nashville, TN is seeking a Graphic Artist who will help conceptualize and create graphics for our News, Sales, Lifestyle show, and Creative Services departments. Candidates must have a background in graphic design, a great sense of graphic layout, accuracy, consistency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This role will be responsible for the execution of creative visual graphics from concept to final animation. An ideal candidate will have proven experience managing multiple projects and the ability to work collaboratively and independently while producing best in class creative in a fast-paced television broadcast, digital and streaming environment.</p> <p>Link to demo reel/online work required for consideration.</p> <p>Essential Duties/Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Design/create graphics for daily newscasts, lifestyle show, programming specials, commercial and promotional spots, and digital graphics for web and social media </li><li>Design and build graphics including full screen monitor graphics, set graphics, information graphics, special opens, and custom-designed elements, web banners and digital ads. </li><li>Create and produce animated graphic opens and elements for local programming including newscasts, sports, political, websites and promotions. </li><li>Maintain and advance the graphic look of the station, while creating, managing and organizing all graphic needs and related files for multiple projects. </li><li>Work cross-functionally with internal departments and throughout Nexstar Media to fulfill the station's graphic needs as needed. </li><li>Contribute to special projects such as digital ads, print work, animation and set design as assigned. </li><li>Policing and enforcing brand consistency across all projects you helped design. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Skills & Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Experience (2+ years preferred) with motion graphics within Adobe Creative Cloud; strong emphasis in Photoshop, After Effects and Illustrator </li><li>Clear communicator with ability to communicate seamlessly with newscast director and flexibility to work in rapidly changing situations. </li><li>Strong design, illustration, and typographic skills. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Art, Design or Broadcasting (preferred) </li></ul> <p>Highly Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with Adobe Premier and Ross Xpression graphic systems. </li><li>Able to shoot on production video cameras and/or DSLR. </li><li>Experience with email blasts HTML & CSS. </li></ul> <p>#LI-Onsite</p>
