Fostering and maintaining these beliefs supports high expectations and an ethic of care for all students and employees - where differences are seen as strengths to be nourished, celebrated, and welcomed. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Plan, prepare and deliver culturally responsive and relevant lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning and engagement· Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning and progress, and modifies instructional methods to fit individual student's needs· Communicate with the Instructional Support Team and parents regarding student progress and areas for growth· Utilize relevant technology and instructional materials to support and differentiate instruction· Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with colleagues· Support all students with diverse needs (ENL, IEP, 504, etc.)· Encourage family involvement in each student's education and ensure effective communication with students and families· Promote a classroom environment that is safe, welcoming and affirming for all students · Work in a collaborative teaching environment, including co-teaching and interdisciplinary planning· Communicate effectively orally and in writing· Meet professional teacher education requirements of school, district and state POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: · In depth knowledge of social emotional learning approaches and experience in implementing SEL to cultivate a classroom that is affirming and welcoming· Thorough knowledge of the NYS Social Studies learning standards· Knowledge of the RTI process and ability to effectively communicate with the Instructional Support Team and parents regarding student progress and areas for growth· Demonstrated knowledge of NYS Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Frameworks · Ability to analyze data to improve instructional practice and student learning outcomes· Ability to engage in self-reflection with regard to performance and professional growth; actively seeks professional learning opportunities· Possession of appropriate New York State Teacher Certification REPORTS TO: Building Principal Ethnically, culturally, and linguistically diverse candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply.</p> <p>Application Type Name:</p> <p>Teacher</p> <p>District Name:</p> <p>Mamaroneck</p> <p>Region Name:</p> <p>Lower Hudson Valley</p> <p>Salary Type:</p> <p>Annual wage</p> <p>Salary Category:</p> <p>Fixed</p>
