We do this by having higher standards, sourcing locally and sustainably, and caring more for the people and communities we serve.</p> <p>The Role</p> <p>FreshDirect is currently seeking an Indirect Procurement Analyst in the New York City area. This position plays a key role in supporting strategic sourcing, data-driven procurement decisions, and vendor performance tracking within the Indirect Procurement (IDP) team. The Analyst will collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders across departments and help identify opportunities for cost savings and process optimization.</p> <p>This is a Grade 8 role in our organization. While not a management position, the Analyst is expected to bring deeper analytical insight and ownership compared to the IDP Specialist role.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Support end-to-end procurement processes for goods and services not for resale, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and purchase execution. </li><li>Conduct spend analysis and develop dashboards to track procurement performance and cost savings. </li><li>Collaborate with department leads to understand procurement needs and help build sourcing strategies accordingly. </li><li>Maintain accurate records in SAP and procurement tracking tools; ensure data integrity across systems. </li><li>Support RFP/RFQ processes by compiling requirements, evaluating vendor responses, and contributing to award decisions. </li><li>Monitor vendor performance against KPIs, service levels, and compliance expectations. </li><li>Assist in continuous improvement initiatives and procurement policy development. </li><li>Provide guidance and oversight to IDP Specialists as needed. </li></ul> <p>What You Bring</p> <ul> <li>2-4 years of experience in procurement, operations, or supply chain, preferably in e-commerce, retail, or food-related industries. </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; experience with spend analysis or procurement metrics. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, formulas) and PowerPoint. </li><li>Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. </li><li>Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset. </li><li>Our Culture </li></ul> <p>We embrace an in-office culture, composed of individuals who thrive on the collaboration and energy that comes from working together in a shared space.
