<p>Job Description</p> <p>Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III - Traffic Analysis and Planning candidate to join our Traffic Analysis and Planning Group located in our Raleigh, NC office location.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Complete operational analysis, corridor studies, traffic studies, innovative intersection implementation, traffic calming, and safety analysis; </li><li>Bicycle/pedestrian/multi-modal feasibility, analysis, design, and implementation; </li><li>Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problems; </li><li>Perform research and writes objective summary reports which are used in the completion of the project work; </li><li>Assist in the preparation of engineering planning schedules and cost estimates </li><li>Complete field observation, inspection, and data collection dutie </li><li>Communicate with client staff and internal design team; and </li><li>Communicate results/recommendations to the general public. </li></ul> <p>Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field </li><li>Ideal candidates would have between two and six years of experience in Transportation / Traffic Engineering and Planning </li><li>Synchro/SIDRA/HCS proficiency is essential </li><li>Knowledge of Traffic Analyses, Planning Studies, Traffic Safety, Traffic Forecasting, Traffic Signal Design, ITS Design, and/or Traffic Signal Timing is preferred </li><li>Bicycle/pedestrian/multi-modal project experience preferred </li><li>Basic CAD and/or GIS knowledge preferred </li><li>Experience working with DOT and/or localities; and </li><li>PE/EIT preferred. </li></ul>
