Bonide stands tall as a recognized and respected industry leader, reflecting the trust and admiration we have earned from gardening enthusiasts across the country!</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing all warehousing, transportation, and distribution operations to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely movement of products across Bonide's supply chain. This role will manage logistics partners, drive process improvements, maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, and support operational excellence aligned with company goals.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Logistics & Distribution Management</p> <ul> <li>Oversee inbound and outbound logistics functions, including shipping, receiving, freight management, and order fulfillment. </li><li>Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries. </li><li>Manage relationships with carriers, 3PLs, and freight brokers; negotiate rates and service agreements. </li><li>Optimize distribution routes, freight consolidation, and warehouse workflows to reduce costs and improve service levels. </li></ul> <p>Inventory & Warehouse Oversight</p> <ul> <li>Maintain inventory accuracy across warehouse locations; partner with warehouse supervisors on cycle counts and reconciliation. </li><li>Ensure proper storage, handling, and tracking of finished goods and materials. </li><li>Support capacity planning, warehouse layout optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. </li></ul> <p>Compliance & Risk Management</p> <ul> <li>Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, hazardous material regulations, and other relevant standards. </li><li>Monitor carrier performance and enforce safety policies across all logistics operations. </li><li>Resolve shipping issues, escalations, product damages, and carrier disputes. </li></ul> <p>Data Analysis & Reporting</p> <ul> <li>Track KPIs such as OTIF, freight costs, warehouse productivity, and carrier performance. </li><li>Analyze logistics trends to recommend improvements in cost, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. </li><li>Prepare regular operational reports for leadership and support budget planning. </li></ul> <p>Leadership & Collaboration</p> <ul> <li>Lead and mentor warehouse and logistics staff; provide coaching, training, and performance feedback. </li><li>Partner with cross-functional teams including Sales, Finance, Operations, and Procurement. </li><li>Lead logistics components of new product launches, seasonal builds, and promotional programs. </li></ul> <p>Addiitonal duties as required.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field-or equivalent experience. </li><li>5+ years of logistics, distribution, warehouse management, or supply chain experience (CPG or manufacturing preferred). </li><li>Strong understanding of transportation, LTL/FTL, warehouse operations, and inventory management. </li><li>Proficiency with ERP/WMS systems; strong Excel and data analysis skills. </li><li>Demonstrated experience managing carrier relationships and negotiating freight rates. </li><li>Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. </li></ul> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Experience in chemical, lawn & garden, or agricultural product industries. </li><li>Knowledge of hazardous materials regulations (DOT, EPA, OSHA). </li><li>Lean/CI or Six Sigma experience. </li></ul> <p>Core Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Operational Excellence </li><li>Analytical Thinking </li><li>Vendor & Contract Management </li><li>Team Leadership </li><li>Process Improvement </li><li>Attention to Detail </li><li>Customer Focus </li><li>Adaptability </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Office and warehouse environment. </li><li>Occasional travel to warehouses, suppliers, and logistics partners. </li><li>Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and meet safety requirements. </li></ul> <p>An essential element of Bonide culture is our commitment to diversity.
