<p>Job Title: Corporate Communications Manager</p> <p>Reports to: Executive VP, Mergers and Acquisitions</p> <p>FLSA Status: Exempt</p> <p>Location: Hybrid Role</p> <p>Job Summary: The Corporate Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing communication strategies that primarily support internal alignment, engagement, and operational clarity, while also managing key external messaging and brand reputation. This role ensures employees understand company priorities and direction, while maintaining a consistent and credible voice with customers, partners, and the market. The position partners closely with executive leadership to translate business strategy into clear, actionable communication both inside and outside the organization.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Lead the development and execution of a corporate communications strategy with a primary focus on internal communication and alignment </li><li>Partner with executive leadership to shape and deliver clear, consistent messaging across all audiences </li><li>Own and manage internal communication channels including company updates, leadership messaging, and operational announcements </li><li>Translate complex business initiatives into practical, easy-to-understand communication for office and field teams </li><li>Support change management efforts by building communication plans that drive awareness, understanding, and adoption </li><li>Collaborate with HR and operations to reinforce company culture, values, and employee engagement </li><li>Develop leadership communication tools including talking points, presentations, and town hall content </li><li>Oversee external communications including press releases, company announcements, and community engagement efforts </li><li>Ensure consistency in brand voice, tone, and messaging across internal and external platforms </li><li>Support media inquiries and coordinate with marketing on public-facing messaging as needed </li><li>Monitor communication effectiveness and adjust strategies based on feedback, engagement, and business outcomes </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>5 or more years of experience in corporate communications, with strong internal communications experience </li><li>Experience supporting executive-level communication and organizational change initiatives </li></ul> <p>Knowledge Skills & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Exceptional writing and editing skills across both internal and external formats </li><li>Ability to simplify complex or technical information for broad audiences </li><li>Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities </li><li>Experience in industrial, construction, or service-based environments </li><li>Understanding of field-based operations and distributed workforce communication challenges </li><li>Strong judgment in managing both internal messaging and external reputation </li><li>Proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on execution and results </li></ul> <p>Work Location and Travel:</p> <ul> <li>Hybrid Role Office Location is 2730 Mine and Mill Road, Lakeland, FL, 33801 </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Corporate office environment in an industrial manufacturing facility. </li><li>Mid-State maintains a firm commitment in providing a safe and healthy work environment for its employees and quality services to its clients. Must also submit to a post-offer / pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <p>Talk/Hear: Must communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams</p> <p>Stand/Sit: Alternates between desk work and time in warehouse environment</p> <p>Walk: Frequent movement throughout warehouse and office areas</p> <p>Use hands/fingers to handle or feel: Regular use of computer systems and handling of parts and documentation</p> <p>Climb: Occasionally required in warehouse settings</p> <p>Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl: Occasionally required for inventory handling and inspections</p> <p>See: Must be able to review data, inventory, and documentation accurately</p> <p>Carry, weight, Lift: Occasionally lift or move parts and materials up to 50 pounds</p> <p>Exposure to work: Exposure to warehouse conditions including noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures</p> <p>Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.</p> <p>Mid-State participates in E-Verify.
