<p>Description</p> <p>Are you detail-oriented with a passion for financial services? We are seeking a dedicated Deposit Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and accuracy of our banking operations while supporting our commitment to exceptional customer service and operational excellence.</p> <p>Job Summary: As a Deposit Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of deposit accounts within our financial institution. You will handle a variety of tasks related to digital banking, account maintenance, and customer inquiries, ensuring compliance with banking regulations and internal policies.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Quality Control: Perform quality checks on transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness. Responsible for new account and closed account review. Processes mobile/remote deposit verification. </li><li>General Ledger (GL) Processing: Process GL transactions, including researching rejected transactions. </li><li>Account Maintenance: Perform reviews of account maintenance tasks such as address changes, account closures, debit card maintenance, and updates to customer information record. </li><li>Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues related to deposit accounts in a professional and courteous manner. </li><li>Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with banking regulations, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements. </li><li>Risk Management: Identify and report potential risks related to deposit operations. </li><li>Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as customer service, compliance, and IT to resolve issues, provide backup, and improve processes. </li><li>Documentation: Maintain accurate records and documentation of transactions, customer interactions, and operational procedures. </li><li>Process Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction. </li><li>Training: Complete required training assigned by compliance/IT. Provide training and support to new employees or team members as needed. </li><li>Conducts oneself in accord with the Bank's Core Values. </li></ul> <p>The job duties listed are in no way all encompassing. This position requires regulatory compliance.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Position Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent, preferred </li><li>1 to 3 years banking or accounting experience, preferred </li><li>Proficient with Excel </li><li>Excellent personal computer skills </li><li>Good interpersonal skills; professional in appearance and communication </li><li>Previous banking experience, preferred </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>The ability to sit for lengthy periods of time </li><li>Frequent use of computer, calculator and other office equipment </li><li>Occasional local travel including driving of vehicle </li><li>Occasionally lift up to 20 lbs waist height </li></ul>
