Allen Park Schools</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>07/14/2025</p> <p>District:</p> <p>&nbsp Melvindale Northern Allen Park Public Schools&nbsp&nbspAdditional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Position: C-4 Cafeteria Worker</p> <p>Role and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Shall, under immediate supervision, be able to prepare, serve and possibly cook simple hot foods, desserts, prepare sandwiches and salads.</p> </li><li> <p>Shall serve and use proper portion control.</p> </li><li> <p>Shall operate necessary equipment.</p> </li><li> <p>Shall perform general cleaning and any other related duties assigned.</p> </li><li> <p>Possibly required to cashier and deposit money.</p> </li><li> <p>Shall assist in preparing monthly cafeteria reports as requested.</p> </li><li> <p>Shall perform any other duties assigned by the Cafeteria Coordinator, Food Service Director, or Director of Finance.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications and Education Requirements</p> <p>Must have basic computer, math and problem solving skills as needed.</p> <p>Must be able to work effectively with all school district personnel.</p> <p>Must have a basic understanding of the USDA school meals program and summer food program.</p> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary or standing position and is occasionally required to move about the kitchen, cafeteria, and school. The employee is required to operate kitchen equipment necessary to prepare, cook, and serve food, and to operate basic computer equipment. The employee must be able to position themselves to access the computer Point of Sale System and to replenish food lines. The employee will assist with reports as needed. The employee will perform cleaning tasks and other duties as assigned. The employee will communicate with others and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee may occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.</p> <p>Working Schedule and Rate of Pay:</p> <p>Strong Middle School 2.5 hrs/day</p> <p>Allendale Elementary Floater 2.5 hrs/day</p> <p>Melvindale High School 4.75 hrs/day</p> <p>40 week per year position</p> <p>Pay rate as listed in Collective Bargaining Agreement</p> <p>New hire rate of pay $13.49/hour</p>
