Collaborates with clinicians and system end users to design, build, implement, document, evaluate, and maintain Epic data reporting tools and integrated components. Utilizes a knowledge of structured query language (SQL) and other data analytical tools to build and maintain reporting user interfaces (e.g., alerts, prompts, screens, dashboards, templates, reports and data extracts). Analyzes and understand business problems; recommends solutions meeting organizational, clinical, and business systems reporting goals. Supports a secure, effective, integrated patient care delivery reporting platform that improves outcomes, reduces cost, increases efficiency, and enhances patients' experiences continually.</p> <p>Reports To:</p> <p>IT [Information Technology]/Mgr Analytics and Reporting (job code (JC): 221401)</p> <p>Supervises:</p> <p>None</p> <p>WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY</p> <p>Required Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in IT, IT management, software engineering, computer engineering, computer science, computer information systems (IS), applied engineering, health information management (HIM), health informatics, nursing informatics, nursing, health science, education, business administration, health care, or a related field. </li><li>Human Resources (HR) may accept directly related work experience on a 1-year:1-year basis for required education. </li><li>NOTE: Experience credited in lieu of formal education will not be credited toward the minimum experience requirement below (i.e., the same experience will not be counted twice). </li></ul> <p>Required Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Two (2) years of directly related professional experience </li><li>Communication skills (critical). </li><li>Complex problem-solving skills (critical). </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with one or more of Epic's Cogito reporting modules, including Clarity, Caboodle, Chronicles. </li><li>Experience with SQL-like language. </li><li>Journeyman knowledge of SQL programming and data extraction methodologies. </li><li>Knowledge of report development best practices. </li><li>Understanding of relational database management system (RDBMS) concepts. </li><li>Familiarity with hospital workflows. </li><li>Familiar with programming languages, data modeling standards, and data structures. </li><li>Proficient in at least one of the following: Python, C#, Visual Basic, or other object-oriented programming language. </li><li>Ability to analyze/understand business problems and recommend solutions. </li></ul> <p>Required Certification/License/Registry:</p> <p>Related Epic certification(s) required. Multiple certifications may be required depending on functional area and job responsibilities.
