<p>Eaton's ES GEIS division is currently seeking a Project Manager, GEIS. This is a hybrid role for candidates currently residing in Highland, IL. Relocation is not provided for this position.</p> <p>The Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) division is part of Eaton's global electrical sector and has over 128 years of experience in enhancing efficiency, safety, and reliability for our customers. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.</p> <p>What you'll do:</p> <p>Responsible for leading the successful execution of New Product Introduction (NPI), and Standard Transition (STP) projects, with a primary focus on electro-mechanical for GEIS Americas. This role drives customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and program financial performance through effective management of programs, contracts, and business relationships. Key responsibilities include maintaining proactive communication with project teams to track schedules and milestones, preparing comprehensive project status reports for management, and ensuring accurate forecasting, reporting, and control of schedules and budgets.</p> <p>In this role you will:</p> <ul> <li>Lead electro-mechanical initiatives that require cross-functional expertise in product development. </li><li>Own the Profit and Loss for assigned New Product Development (NPD) programs and projects, with full Responsibility, Authority, and Accountability (RAA) for delivering scope and ensuring successful execution across technical, schedule, cost, and quality commitments. </li><li>Create and maintain project schedules, regularly updating timelines, identifying key milestones, and monitoring the critical path to support effective baseline management. </li><li>Maintain up-to-date project/program documentation, artifacts, metrics, and Rolling Action Item Lists to support PRO Launch Phase Gates, Baseline Change Management, Project Management Reviews, and Integrated Project Team (IPT) meetings. </li><li>Provide leadership across the IPT, encouraging team inputs to drive quick issue resolution, and offering coaching, feedback, and recognition based on performance indicators. </li><li>Establish goals and objectives, guiding program and project teams on customer concerns, scope change considerations, and risk assessment, while facilitating the implementation of program management processes across the site, business unit, or division. </li><li>Monitor program and project performance, delivering periodic status updates (Green/Yellow/Red) on milestone progress, issues, and high-risk areas (technical, cost, schedule), and communicating regularly with business units. </li><li>Ensure adherence to standard program management processes, coordinating PM reviews, and preparing and publishing PM metrics and reports to support project teams effectively. </li><li>Manage and coordinate cross-functional resources, resolving conflicts, optimizing resource utilization, and continuously improving productivity. </li><li>Collaborate closely with global program management and cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of program and project outcomes. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Basic (Required) Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. </li><li>Minimum of four (4) years of experience in Program Management; or a combination of Program Management with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing/SCM, or Product Development. </li><li>Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master of Engineering </li><li>Strong collaboration and influence skills, with the ability to guide IPT members, ensure accountability, and secure timely updates and deliverables. </li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in program and project management methodologies, tools, and processes. </li><li>Proven ability to plan, lead, and execute technical development projects in a cross-functional team environment. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the capability to deliver clear status reports and presentations to leadership and management teams. </li><li>Proficient in MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and quality management tools, including data analysis and summarization. </li><li>Strong analytical abilities paired with solid business acumen. </li><li>Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with a passion for driving change within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) across multiple sites and global customer groups. </li><li>Project Management Institute (PMI) certification (PMP) is highly recommended. </li></ul> <p>We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
