Willard Marriott Library is seeking an event coordinating assistant for the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 semesters. This is a grant-funded position that will be responsible for scheduling, promotion, logistics, and other aspects of event planning and logistics for a total of 10 in-person events.</p> <p>For the Library to be able to appropriately monitor hours worked, part-time employees are generally asked to restrict their work with the University of Utah to Library employment only, unless an exception is granted.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Scheduling (through established library channels):</p> <ul> <li>Rooms and spaces for each event </li><li>A.V. support for hybrid events </li></ul> <p>Invited speaker logistics:</p> <ul> <li>Communication and coordination with invited speakers from the </li></ul> <p>University of Utah and external institutions</p> <ul> <li>Collaboration with external institutions for invited speaker's travel and </li></ul> <p>accommodation</p> <p>Promotion and communication:</p> <ul> <li>Circulation of surveys for campus researchers and event attendee's </li><li>Develop promotional materials for events </li><li>Collaborate with event partners to circulate promotional materials </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Must be a current University of Utah student enrolled 6 undergraduate credit hours or 5 graduate credit hours during the fall and spring semesters.</p> <p>Preferences</p> <ul> <li>Majoring in marketing, communications, or related area </li><li>Experience in event coordination and/or promotion </li><li>Interest in event planning </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Strong organizational skills </li></ul> <p>Special Instructions Summary Additional Information</p> <p>The University is a participating employer with Utah Retirement Systems ("URS").
