<p>NorthWest Senior and Disability Services (NWSDS) is a local intergovernmental agency dedicated to supporting older adults and people with disabilities through programs that promote dignity, choice, and independence.</p> <p>NWSDS is seeking a part-time Nutrition Site Coordinator to support the nutrition program. This position is based out of the Stayton meal site.</p> <p>We are seeking individuals who are committed to public service, value teamwork, and provide respectful, high-quality service to the communities we serve.</p> <p>Recruitment #: 079-04-26</p> <p>Closes: May 15, 2026</p> <p>Location: Stayton, OR</p> <p>Salary: $18.15 - $24.32 per hour</p> <p>(Salary placement is based on education, training, and relevant experience, consistent with the agency's pay practices.)</p> <p>General Description</p> <p>This position plays a key role in promoting the health and wellbeing of older adults by coordinating congregate meal services, supporting home-delivered meal programs, and fostering meaningful participant and volunteer engagement.</p> <p>Essential Duties</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate daily operations of congregate meal sites and support home-delivered meal services. </li><li>Ensure food is handled, prepared, and served in compliance with health and sanitation standards. </li><li>Maintain accurate meal counts, participant records, and required program documentation. </li><li>Recruit, train, and support volunteers; ensure compliance with program and safety requirements. </li><li>Foster a welcoming, inclusive environment for participants and promote social engagement. </li><li>Conduct outreach and collaborate with community partners to support program goals. </li><li>Deliver meals as needed and assist with participant assessments and communication. </li><li>Support program integrity by following all policies, confidentiality requirements, and mandatory reporting obligations. </li></ul> <p>Experience and Skills:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>A qualified applicant will have a minimum of one (1) year of equivalent combination of education and/or experience which demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities required. Minimum qualifications may be met through the following:</p> <ul> <li>High School or equivalency </li><li>1 year of experience coordinating community programs and working with volunteers </li><li>6 months food handling experience </li></ul> <p>Other Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Food Handler's Permit. Must possess a current Food Handler's Permit or have the ability to obtain one prior to hire. </li><li>Driving for Agency Business. Positions that require driving must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record. May require proof of personal automobile liability insurance in accordance with ORS Chapter 806 and use of a personal vehicle. </li><li>Background Check. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal history check. Conviction of a crime does not automatically disqualify an individual from employment. Some positions may require additional screening, including but not limited to state or national fingerprint-based background checks. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Basic computer proficiency and the ability to follow instructions, apply problem-solving, and make decisions consistent with policies and procedures </li><li>Effective communication and relationship building with a diverse range of individuals, including participants, volunteers, and community partners. </li><li>Strong customer service skills, professional boundaries, and sound judgment in a variety of situations. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment and Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>The work environment includes office, community, and in-home settings, which may have varying levels of cleanliness and repair. </li><li>Interaction with diverse populations in a variety of settings </li><li>Work is performed at meal sites and in the community, with regular movement between locations. </li><li>Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting (up to 30 lbs) </li><li>Interaction with diverse populations in a variety of settings </li></ul> <p>Classification: Nutrition Site Coordinator</p> <p>Position Number: varies</p> <p>Salary Range: R19</p> <p>FLSA Status: Non-Exempt</p> <p>Unit: Varies</p> <p>Location: Varies</p> <p>Reports to: Program Manager</p> <p>Union Status: Represented</p> <p>Last revision: January 2026</p> <p>This job description is a general guide for the job to be performed and does not cover everything.
