<p>Nature and Scope of Job:</p> <p>The Elementary Bus Monitor works closely with the Program Director, Transportation Coordinator, and bus driver to ensure safe transporation for all students.</p> <p>Performance Responsibilities:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Establish rapport and respectful, trusting relationships with students, parents, and caregivers, acting as a role model and maintaining high expectations,</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure student safety and adherence to tranportation policies and practices.</p> </li><li> <p>Implement and maintain good student bus behavior and conduct.</p> </li><li> <p>Works closes and collaboratively with the Program Director, Transportation Coordinator, and other bus monitors.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to take attendanc of students on a daily basis.</p> </li></ol> <p>Job Qualifications:</p> <ol> <li> <p>Must have experience working with school-age children and their families.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to board and exit the bus in the Boston area.</p> </li><li> <p>Must have a high school diploma.</p> </li><li> <p>Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, and parent/caregivers in the community.</p> </li></ol> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ol> <li>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
