<p>POSITION TITLE: Special Education Behavior Interventionist</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Registered Behavior Technician Certification </li><li>Experience implementing behavior intervention plans and data collection </li></ul> <p>CONTRACT: 185 Days</p> <p>EVALUATOR: Special Education Director and Behavior Analyst (if one is</p> <p>employed by the district)</p> <p>JOB DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>The position of Special Education Behavior Interventionist/Registered Behavior</p> <p>Technician works alongside the Special Education Director, Building Administration,</p> <p>District Behavior Analyst (if one is employed), Instructional Coaches, and Special</p> <p>Education Teachers to support students' behavioral needs. The interventionist provides</p> <p>progress monitoring (data analysis) related to behavior intervention plans and other</p> <p>evidence based practices for students with disabilities. The interventionist</p> <p>demonstrates positive interpersonal skills, cooperative teamwork, and excellent written</p> <p>and verbal communication skills.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with stakeholders to create effective behavior management </li></ul> <p>programs</p> <ul> <li>Support teacher with implementation of STAR curriculum (discrete trial, task </li></ul> <p>analysis, pivotal response training, prompt fading, data collection, reinforcement</p> <p>systems, etc) with multiple students in the classroom</p> <ul> <li>Support classroom teacher with behavioral data systems and data collection </li><li>Maintain a current knowledge of behavioral intervention practices and related </li></ul> <p>areas</p> <ul> <li>Facilitate small group practice and reinforcement </li><li>Supporting students' independence with functional routines </li><li>Preparing instructional materials and participating in planning meetings with </li></ul> <p>the classroom teacher</p> <ul> <li>Maintain confidentiality of all student information </li><li>Other duties may apply according to supervising teacher and building </li></ul> <p>administration</p>
