<p>INTERNAL ONLY - Teachers</p> <p>TITLE: Common Writing Assessments (Literacy) Grades 3-8</p> <p>LOCATION: MCB Complex Library</p> <p>REPORTS TO: Dr. Tamara Blake-Canty, Assistant Superintendent</p> <p>GENERAL DUTIES: Participate in a combination of in person meetings and asynchronous work throughout the school year.</p> <p>DESCRIPTION: Educators will collaborate on creating common writing assessments across disciplines to be administered three times during the school year. This team will design writing prompts that are clear, purposeful, and allow for students to demonstrate their knowledge of the topic, content and show command of their writing skills as well as mechanics. Additionally, the prompts will reflect higher order thinking. Moreover, the team will design prompts that are grade level appropriate, address student experience and background knowledge and reflect the reading and writing goals and standards of the grade level as well as reflect the writing genres/topics that students are currently learning.
