<p>Fullerton Elementary School District</p> <p>See attachment on original job posting</p> <p>POSITION DETAILS The Fullerton School District is hiring a part-time Food Service Assistant/Transporter to assist in preparing, packaging, and serving food in large quantities. Responsibilities include cleaning at various locations (e.g., Nutrition Center, school site kitchens, outdoor areas), organizing, handling, and transporting food and materials. The role also involves picking up and delivering supplies, records, and equipment between vendors, warehouses, schools, and other District sites, as well as processing requisitions, storing food, and loading/unloading trucks. This position offers 6.0 hours/day, 30 hours/week, and a 9.5-month work year with paid holidays, sick leave, and vacation. Anticipated work hours are Monday through Friday, 9 am to 3:30 pm. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Education : High School Diploma or GED required. Experience : Minimum one year of experience in institutional warehousing and delivery. Experience in food service warehousing is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Applicants must submit a recent (dated less than one month from the recruitment closing date) DMV driving record, including all reportable driving information such as convictions, departmental actions, and accidents. This document can be obtained online or in person from the DMV.</p> <p>RECRUITMENT PROCEDURES This is a merged promotional and open competitive recruitment. The examination may include a training and experience (supplemental responses) evaluation, written test, performance test, and/or structured oral interview. To be placed on the eligibility list, candidates must achieve a passing score on each part of the examination. Final scores will be determined by combining the relative weights of each section. If claiming Veteran's credit, proof of status (DD214) must be submitted to the Classified Personnel Commission Office at the time of application or before testing. The eligibility list will remain active for twelve (12) months and will be used to fill current and future vacancies. Date of Examination The exam date will be announced later. Candidates deemed most qualified will be notified via email or phone regarding the time, date, and location.
