<p>1st Shift Team Lead</p> <p>Department: Manufacturing / Operations / Quality</p> <p>Employment Type: Full Time</p> <p>Location: US - Wisconsin - Madison</p> <p>Reporting To: Jeremy Lewis</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, performs a variety of duties to include leading a team of employees responsible for preparing, assembling, testing, and packaging according to the production schedule as well as the proper execution of tasks and general housekeeping/safety functions.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Effectively communicates job requirements to employees and assists in interpreting production schedule, etc. </li><li>Assists in training new employees. </li><li>Monitors schedules and requests adjustments from supervisor as necessary. </li><li>Makes adjustments to equipment or process as necessary and within established procedures. </li><li>Makes job assignments as necessary and within established procedures. </li><li>Maintains "team" environment within area of responsibilities. </li><li>Assists employees in the performance of their duties. </li><li>Assists in securing materials as required. </li><li>Maintains proper records and reports. </li><li>Communicates to Supervisors/Manager on any unusual conditions. </li><li>Comply with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per Franklin Fueling Systems. </li><li>Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures. </li><li>Report problems with quality, process, equipment, and materials to Production Supervisor. </li><li>Maintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions. </li><li>Meets daily production schedule as assigned. </li><li>Uses available parts to assemble various parts according to operating instructions. </li><li>Operates various work stations to complete assembly of scheduled parts. </li><li>Actively participates in the production of product as needed. </li><li>Performs other duties as required or assigned. </li></ul> <p>LEAD RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Leads a team of employees responsible for preparing, assembling, testing, and packaging according to the production schedule as well as the proper execution of tasks. </li><li>Assists Supervisor with enforcing company policies and procedures. </li><li>Assists in training new employees. </li></ul> <p>Skills Knowledge and Expertise</p> <p>Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Ability to effectively communicate with and motivate all production floor employees. </li><li>Works with various hand and power tools. </li><li>Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. </li><li>Utilizes common sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions. </li><li>Provides accurate work on a consistent basis meeting precise tolerances and standards. </li><li>Interpersonal skills sufficient to work closely with others on a team. </li><li>Ability to demonstrate flexibility in work environment performing a variety of frequently changing tasks. </li><li>Ability to work alone effectively under stress and in situations dangerous to self or others. </li><li>Completes some moderately repetitive tasks. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or Equivalent (required). </li><li>Six months or more experience working in a manufacturing type position (preferred). </li></ul> <p>Computer Skills</p> <ul> <li>Basic computer skills (required). </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES</p> <ul> <li>While performing the functions of this job, the employee is: </li><li>Continually required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 10 lbs.; stand. </li><li>Regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.; push or pull; walk. </li><li>Occasionally required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.; sit; ascend or descend ladders, stairs, or ramps; turn wrenches, valves, or handles; bend or twist; use upper extremities; reach above shoulders; reach to full extension. </li><li>Specific vision abilities required by this job include regular peripheral viewing; viewing length changes; close viewing with depth perception; and occasional distance viewing. </li><li>Specific hearing abilities required by this job include the need to perceive the spoken voice clearly and the need to hear warning signals up to 70dbs with or without assistance. </li><li>Specific speech abilities regularly required by this job include comprehensible speech. </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <p>Franklin Fueling Systems is the premier designer and manufacturer of the world's most complete line of petroleum equipment including Submersible Pumping Systems, Piping and Containment Systems, Service Station Hardware, Dispensing Systems, Fuel Management Systems, and Transport Systems.
