<p>Job Title: Maintenance Foreman</p> <p>Location: Maintenance Shop - APG</p> <p>Company: City of Aberdeen</p> <p>Job Type: Full-time</p> <p>Salary: $54,309 - $59,944 based on qualifications and experience</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have mid-level experience in maintenance and repair work on water and sewer utilities, as well as strong leadership and communication skills. The Maintenance Foreman will be responsible for overseeing a team of maintenance technicians, coordinating daily schedules, and ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner by working with the crew.</p> <p>This position will be assigned to the City of Aberdeen Maintenance Shop on Aberdeen Proving Ground and will require a Tier 1 level Background Check, in addition to the standard pre-employment background check.</p> <p>This position requires the applicant to have and maintain a CDL - Class B.</p> <p>Applicants that are not MDE certified will be considered if other requirements are met and have on (1) year to pass one (1) state exam.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance crews </li><li>Inspect and maintain equipment, machinery, and facilities </li><li>Order and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment </li><li>Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations </li><li>Train and mentor maintenance staff </li><li>Communicate with management and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities </li><li>Prepare and maintain maintenance records and reports </li><li>Operates light and medium-sized construction and power equipment </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>MDE Collection 2 and Distribution 1 Certifications (both exams must be passed within 1 year of employment) </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus </li><li>Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance and repair work in utilities, asphalt, and concrete work </li><li>Proven leadership and supervisory skills </li><li>Strong knowledge of Water and Sewer Utility systems </li><li>Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities </li><li>Good communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team </li><li>Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations </li><li>Proficient in computer applications and maintenance software, GIS, Microsoft Suite </li><li>Valid CDL required. </li></ul> <p>If you have the skills and experience required for this position, we would love to hear from you.
