<p>JOIN OUR TEAM AND EXPERIENCE ENDLESS CAREER POSSIBILITIES</p> <p>IF YOU ARE AN EXISTING TEAM MEMBER, PLEASE CLICK THE FOLLOWING LINK TO BE TAKEN TO THE INTERNAL CAREER SITE: MOHEGAN INTERNAL CAREER SITE</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>This position is responsible for delivering valuable insights and strategic recommendations for casino gaming operations from data-driven analyses.</p> <p>Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Provides meaningful recommendations for business decisions to the Casino Analytics Manager based on analytical models </li><li>Leverages data to seek new gaming revenue opportunities and optimize operational procedures in efforts to maximize bottom line performance </li><li>Provides analysis and reporting on slot machine & table games performance and casino operations labor to improve casino profitability </li><li>Analyzes effects of slot machine changes and table games rules to maintain optimal casino profitability </li><li>Analyzes trends and patron preference to maximize gaming profitability and optimize unit mix </li><li>Analyzes key aspects of patron gaming activity and evaluates casino marketing reinvestment in efforts to maximize house advantage </li><li>Assists in the evaluation of gaming procedures and rules </li><li>Works closely with IT and Marketing departments to evaluate data integrity </li></ul> <p>Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assists operating departments with various ad hoc requests related to financial performance </li><li>Assists in the budget process when necessary </li><li>Floor observations </li></ul> <p>Minimum Education and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Data Science or a related field </li><li>At least two years of relevant working experience in analytics, data analysis, business intelligence or quantitative research is required. Experience relevant in the gaming industry is preferred. </li><li>Proficiency in SQL is required </li><li>Proficiency in Python or R is required and advanced knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI is preferred </li><li>Knowledge of casino game rules and factors that affect house advantage </li><li>Knowledge of gambling mathematical theory </li><li>Knowledge of quantitative methods </li></ul> <p>Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Ability to discern relevant information from multiple data sources </li><li>Ability to effectively communicate key research and recommendations to management </li><li>Strong critical thinking skills, particularly for problem solving and trend identification </li><li>Strong analytical, communication and financial presentation skills </li></ul> <p>Training Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Mohegan Sun's corporate and department policies and procedures </li><li>Trained in Cognos Upfront and Cognos Finance </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Office work environment </li><li>Must sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time </li><li>Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours </li></ul> <p>This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements or working conditions associated with the job.
