Candidates shall have knowledge of construction means and methods, materials, strong communication skills, documentation control, ability to read and interpret plans and specifications and to perform quantity takeoffs/calculations.</p> <p>Qualifications: Experience in inspecting, testing, or managing construction projects is a must. Candidates must be fully proficient in the use of computers including MS Word, Excel and construction reporting/quantity tracking software. Candidates must have effective written and oral communication skills, be eager to learn, willing to perform a variety of tasks and be a team player.</p> <p>A minimum of four years of experience in civil, highway or a relevant engineering field is required, with two years in a field inspection capacity.</p> <p>A NICET Level 3 is required for this position. A current State of Connecticut Professional Engineer's License or a Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in a relevant field is also acceptable. A Bachelor of Science Degree may be substituted for two years of experience. Other certifications including NACE Coatings Inspection; ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor; NETTCP HMA Inspector, NETTCP Concrete Inspector, Soils and Concrete, ACI Technician and AWS/CWI are a plus.</p> <p>This employer participates in e-verify.
