<p>Job location: Watertown, MA- Sassafras House Wednesday - Saturday</p> <p>Mission: The mission of The Guild for Human Services is to educate, encourage and empower individuals with intellectual disabilities so they may achieve their full potential to lead high-quality lives and participate meaningfully in the community.</p> <p>At The Guild you can join a workforce of creative, dedicated, and passionate employees working every day to enhance the lives of youth and adults with intellectual disabilities and other challenges.</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>To assist the Residential Manager (or Lead/Assistant Residential Manager) in the development and implementation of a comprehensive residential program for each of their assigned individuals</p> <p>Primary Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Work as a member of a team to maintain a clean, safe, positive living environment for each individual who lives at the residence including completing laundry and cleaning assignments </li><li>Assist in the development and implementation of each individual's residential ISP/IEP and daily activity schedule. </li><li>Attend and support individuals participating in all community experiences. </li><li>Implement positive behavior supports and individual behavior support plans for individuals who live in the home. </li><li>Assist in record keeping and report writing, as assigned. </li><li>Provide supervision of all individuals while under his/her care. </li><li>Administer and record individuals' medications, in compliance with MAP. </li><li>Able to transport individuals to various locations. </li><li>Provide direct supervision and care to individuals, including 1:1 responsibilities at all times and locations. </li><li>Participate in any meetings pertaining to assigned individuals or program planning, as directed. </li><li>Engage in de-escalation of individuals. </li></ul> <p>Essential Job Functions</p> <ul> <li>Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job including inclement weather </li><li>Demonstrated evidence of mature judgment, good interpersonal skills, a desire to enrich individuals' lives and a willingness to learn </li><li>Physical and mental capacity to work in stressful situations and de-escalate individuals who have limited cognition and complex needs </li><li>Proficiency in written and spoken English is an essential function of the job </li><li>Pass Guild Driving test to access Guild vehicles for transportations of individuals </li><li>Must be able to implement crisis intervention techniques as necessary, including Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (via certification through CPI) </li><li>The ability to assist individuals in evacuation from the residence </li><li>A minimum of an Associate's Degree is preferred; prior experience in lieu of a degree will be considered </li><li>Undergo background record check process </li><li>Valid driver's license </li></ul>
