<p>Job Category Staff Position Title Part-Time Assistant Baseball Coach Working Title Part-Time Assistant Baseball Coach Scheduled Hours Per Week Part Time / Seasonal FLSA Status Non-Exempt</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Concord University is hiring a Part-Time Assistant Baseball Coach that will assist the Head Coach in all aspects of operating a competitive NCAA Division II Baseball program.</p> <p>This includes player development, practice planning, recruiting support, game preparation, and fostering a positive student-athlete experience. The position requires strong baseball knowledge, professionalism, and the ability to positively represent the university and its athletic department.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Duty/Responsibility</p> <p>Coaching & Player Development</p> <ul> <li>Assist in planning and conducting daily practices, skill sessions, and team workouts. </li><li>Provide position-specific instruction (infield, outfield, hitting, pitching, or catching). </li><li>Support strength and conditioning efforts in accordance with NCAA guidelines. </li><li>Evaluate player performance and contribute to player development plans. </li></ul> <p>Recruiting</p> <ul> <li>Assist with identifying, evaluating, and communicating with prospective student-athletes. </li><li>Represent the baseball program at showcases, tournaments, and recruiting events as assigned. </li><li>Help maintain recruit databases and adhere to all NCAA compliance rules. </li></ul> <p>Game Preparation</p> <ul> <li>Assist with game-day operations: pregame routines, scouting reports, and in-game coaching duties. </li><li>Contribute to opponent scouting, video review, and strategy planning. </li><li>Drive university vehicles for travel as needed (if permitted). </li></ul> <p>Administrative Duties</p> <ul> <li>Support academic monitoring of student-athletes. </li><li>Assist with coordinating team travel, equipment management, and facility preparation. </li><li>Aid in organizing camps, clinics, and fundraising activities. </li><li>Maintain compliance with all NCAA, conference, and university policies. </li></ul> <p>% of Time 100%</p> <p>Education/Knowledge</p> <p>Minimum Education Bachelor's Required Licenses/Certification</p> <p>Required</p> <p>Bachelor's degree or significant playing/coaching experience.</p> <p>Preferred</p> <ul> <li>Prior collegiate playing or coaching experience (NCAA, NAIA, or NJCAA) </li><li>Valid driver's license and ability to drive university vehicles. </li><li>CPR/First Aid certification </li></ul> <p>Required Skills</p> <ul> <li>Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals, game strategy, and player development. </li><li>Ability to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required. </li><li>Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. </li><li>Commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes. </li></ul> <p>Required Experience</p> <p>Type of experience Needed Experience with recruiting platforms (e.g., FieldLevel, Synergy, SportsRecruits) Amount of Experience Needed (Months/Years) More than 2 years</p> <p>Posting Detail Information</p> <p>Close Date Open Until Filled Yes Additional Information</p> <p>Concord University is a public comprehensive university with a rich history as one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in West Virginia.
