<p>Job Title: CTE Coordinator/Master Teacher</p> <p>Wage/Hour Status: Exempt</p> <p>Reports to: HS Principal</p> <p>Pay Grade: AP4</p> <p>Days: 226</p> <p>Dept./School: SSHS</p> <p>Funding Source: Perkins Grant</p> <p>Primary Purpose:</p> <p>The CTE Coordinator/Master Teacher serves as both an instructional leader and program coordinator to ensure the effective implementation of high-quality Career and Technical Education programs. This role supports teachers through coaching and professional development, ensures TEKS-aligned instruction, manages program compliance, and builds partnerships with industry and post-secondary institutions. The coordinator plays a pivotal role in aligning instructional practices with workforce needs and district goals.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Education/Certification:</p> <p>Education: Master's degree preferred.</p> <p>Certification: Valid Texas teaching certificate in CTE or a related field</p> <p>Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the employee</p> <p>Experience:</p> <p>Minimum 3-5 years of successful classroom experience in CTE or secondary education.</p> <p>Demonstrated leadership experience in coaching, curriculum, or program coordination.</p> <p>Knowledge of TEKS, Perkins requirements, and industry-based certifications.</p> <p>Special Knowledge/Skills:</p> <p>Strong instructional coaching and mentoring skills</p> <p>Ability to analyze data and implement instructional change</p> <p>Excellent communication and collaboration skills</p> <p>Knowledge of workforce development trends and career pathways</p> <p>Effective organizational and time-management skills of staff development and the facilitation of adult learning</p> <p>Major Responsibilities and Duties:</p> <p>Instructional Leadership</p> <ul> <li>Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to CTE teachers to improve instructional practices and student outcomes. </li><li>Model effective teaching strategies, including the integration of technology, project-based learning, and industry-relevant skills. </li><li>Analyze student achievement data to guide instructional decisions and program improvement. </li></ul> <p>Program Coordination</p> <ul> <li>Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of CTE programs across all career clusters offered. </li><li>Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal CTE guidelines and funding requirements (e.g., Perkins V). </li><li>Collaborate with campus and district leadership to ensure programs meet workforce demands and post-secondary alignment. </li></ul> <p>Professional Development</p> <ul> <li>Plan and deliver ongoing professional development for CTE staff focused on instructional best practices, curriculum alignment, and industry trends. </li><li>Facilitate Cluster Meetings (PLCs) to support collaboration among CTE educators. </li></ul> <p>Stakeholder Engagement</p> <ul> <li>Build and maintain partnerships with industry leaders, workforce boards, and higher education institutions to enhance student opportunities (e.g., internships, certifications, dual credit). </li><li>Promote CTE programs within the school community and serve as an advocate for career readiness pathways. </li></ul> <p>Data & Accountability</p> <ul> <li>Monitor and report CTE-related data, including student performance, industry certification attainment, and program enrollment trends. </li><li>Assist in writing and managing CTE-related grants and budgets. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities:</p> <p>None</p> <p>Working Conditions: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:</p> <p>Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals</p> <p>Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional standing, walking, climbing, crouching, bending, stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting, lifting-lower 1-15 lbs.</p> <p>Motion: Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching.
