<p>Akkodis is seeking a Senior Security Engineer for a Contract with a client in Boston, MA. You will deploy and manage Proofpoint security capabilities to strengthen email protection and support ongoing security operations.</p> <p>Rate Range: $40/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.</p> <p>Senior Security Engineer job responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Deploying and configuring Proofpoint capabilities such as OCR, EDM, IDM, and security policies to enhance email threat protection.</p> </li><li> <p>Developing reports, dashboards, and policy logic within Proofpoint to support monitoring, detection, and compliance needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Operationalizing the Proofpoint platform by creating SOPs, supporting triage workflows, and performing incident remediation activities.</p> </li><li> <p>Investigating email security alerts, performing root-cause analysis, and escalating issues as needed for timely resolution.</p> </li><li> <p>Supporting use-case development by gathering requirements, validating outputs, and contributing to project delivery milestones.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintaining documentation, updating platform configurations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize email security workflows.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.</p> </li><li> <p>6-8 years of professional experience in security operations, incident response, or email security, including direct Proofpoint platform work.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong hands-on experience deploying and managing Proofpoint capabilities (OCR, EDM, IDM, policy development, and reporting) with proven operationalization through SOPs, triage, and remediation.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to support use-case development, deliver project-based work, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.</p> </li></ul> <p>If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
