<p>Description</p> <p>SCHEDULE: 40 hours, Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.</p> <p>Pays $ $71,767.80 annually DOE</p> <p>LOCATION: 1736 Washington Street, Boston, MA</p> <p>SUMMARY OF POSITION:</p> <p>In the role of Senior Staff Accountant, you will be performing important responsibilities to maintain a complete and accurate general ledger. Your primary responsibilities will include accounting and reporting functions concerning Pine Street Inn's cash, investment, receivables and managed housing revenue sources. The revenue sources include permanent housing, donor contributions, and the ICater social enterprise. You will need to be an experienced accountant who effectively and timely reconciles subsidiary systems to the general ledger on a monthly basis, including tracking unreconciled items. You will be working with numerous program personnel to collect information pertaining to revenue sources and report financial results. You will also be taking on new projects and responsibilities as time and schedule availability permits.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>EDUCATION/TRAINING:</p> <p>REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in accounting or comparable degree </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of four (4) years of accounting experience </li><li>Experience with general ledger accounting software preferable MIP and Real Page </li><li>In depth knowledge of reconciling and maintaining major general ledger accounts, including cash, investments and receivables </li><li>Experienced user of, MS Office products, in particular MS Excel - Pivot tables & VLookup </li><li>Experience with Property Management accounting </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with the not-for-profit social service industry </li><li>Experience with Abila MIP general ledger accounting software </li></ul>
