<p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>Cultural Arts Instructors must demonstrate a positive attitude and be well-versed in the subject matter they are teaching, including painting, drawing, and other artistic mediums. The curriculum should be thoughtfully designed to meet the interests and needs of the target population. Instructors must be dependable, flexible, and capable of adapting materials to accommodate participants with varying levels of expertise. Additionally, all instructors are required to complete and adhere to the Englewood Parks and Recreation Education Policies and Procedures.</p> <p>ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLES OF WORK</p> <p>The list of examples of work is not intended to be all-inclusive. They establish a flexible, functional base from which the incumbent operates. They may also be modified with additions, deletions, or changes required to obtain organizational goals and objectives.</p> <ul> <li>Must be responsible and punctual. </li><li>Demonstrates thorough knowledge of subject areas and arrives prepared for lessons. </li><li>Presents art instruction in a positive, professional, and motivational manner. </li><li>Implements creative, interactive, and engaging teaching methods. </li><li>Communicates in an enthusiastic, warm, and friendly demeanor </li><li>Must enjoy working with the older adult population, including varying levels of expertise. </li><li>Maintains record of class attendance and reports to the Recreation Supervisor </li><li>Reports all concerns or rescheduling to the Recreation Supervisor. </li><li>Attend occasional special events to promote classes and connect with community. </li><li>Instructors are paid for scheduled class time when in attendance. </li><li>Demonstrate ability to work with groups of people, communicate clearly and effectively and collaborate as part of a team </li><li>Must follow and understand all City of Englewood Parks and Recreation Policies and Procedures. </li></ul> <p>PREPARATION AND TRAINING</p> <p>Any combination of Art education and/or experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and physical abilities necessary for excellent job performance.</p> <p>HOURLY RATE</p> <p>$17.47 - $26.21/Hourly Rate</p> <p>This is a part time position.</p> <p>APPLY</p> <p>Apply online at www.englewoodco.gov</p> <p>For questions, please contact Shelly Fritz-Pelle at 303-762-2660 or sfritz@englewoodco.gov</p> <p>Application Deadline: Open until filled</p>
