<p>This is a part-time (20 hours per week), 12-month internship that will provide valuable work and educational experiences. It will provide an opportunity to see how principles and practices learned in their educational institutions are applied in the work setting. Under general supervision, the intern performs work as assigned by the department.</p> <p>This internship will assist the department's managing director by performing historical research in the Church History Library digital and physical collections. The internship will also write research reports and draft other material</p> <p>The Intern is expected to meet rigid and challenging deadlines, work in harmony with other people, take direction on each assignment, and give full attention to detail. Independence in working, tact, and diplomacy are required. Sound judgment of Church doctrine, history, organization, policy and protocol are also expected.</p> <ul> <li>Must submit a Cover Letter and Resume with application </li><li>Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. </li><li>Must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter. </li><li>Working on or completed a bachelor's degree in history, religious studies, or related field. Master's degree a plus. </li><li>Experience with research in primary and secondary sources. </li><li>Experience with analytical and narrative historical writing a plus. </li><li>Knowledge of Latter-day Saint history and broader historical contexts a plus. </li></ul>
