<p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED</p> <ul> <li>Cleans unit to remove all numbers, caulk, and other foreign material. </li><li>Places unit on runners or skids as necessary. </li><li>Utilizes a fork-truck to move units and return wheels to start of line. Must also retrieve supplies and materials. </li><li>Coordinates with Electrical area, assembly line and shipping to prioritize work. </li><li>Sprays unit with Rust Preventative spray. </li><li>Prepares unit for shipping by shrink wrapping. </li><li>Prepares unit for painting by covering all areas not to be painted. </li><li>Uses overhead crane, heat gun, air gun, nail gun, air sprayer, circular saw, and other hand tools to prepare unit for shipment </li><li>Responsible for reporting work related injuries and near misses to supervision. </li><li>Responsible for wearing all required PPE and following applicable safety/environmental rules. </li><li>Responsible for correcting or reporting unsafe conditions observed within the plant. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the functions.</p> <p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE</p> <p>Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</p> <p>LANGUAGE ABILITY</p> <p>Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos (i.e. safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, shop-floor paperwork, and procedure manuals). Ability to transfer information from written instructions to shipping documents.</p> <p>MATH ABILITY</p> <p>Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.</p> <p>REASONING ABILITY</p> <p>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.</p> <p>COMPUTER SKILLS</p> <p>No computer skills required.</p> <p>CERTIFICATES & LICENSES</p> <p>Forklift license required.
